“Streambank Wild Hollyhock
Oil on canvas, 24” x 30”, 2026
$2500
This species is native to sunny mountain stream banks, meadows, and open forests from east of the Cascade Range, British Columbia, Alberta to Montana and south to Oregon and Colorado. It has suffered drastic population declines in the Eastern United States, from fire suppression, changing the forest canopy structure. Shading limits plant growth and seed germination as the seeds germinate after scarification by fire.
